Latency of the domain name vs. IP address?
I will be running a webcast via a Windows Media server. I can "download" my direct feed to an IP address (IP address / / publishingpoint) or subdomain (username.host.com / publishingpoint). I think it would be efficient to operate IP address, and put it in the domain name may cause delays to slow things down. Moreover, my audience should see the player through the property intellectual, or so I thought. I'm very demanding about efficiency. Am I crazy or is this a good idea?
