windows media player 10 crashes?
hi,
i am having a problem with windows media player 10. I can play a video and after a while (maybe 30 minutes, maybe an hour) my whole laptop seizes up. Nothing is functional, not even the capacitive touch keys on the front of my laptop. So i shut down the whole laptop by holding the power button in for 3 seconds. When the laptop comes back on and i go into media player, i got a message saying something like “all plugins are now disabled because an error has occurred”. This type of thing happens even when i am playing just music files.
I am running windows xp on my laptop which came pre-installed with windows vista (but it hogged so much power, i had to ditch it). my laptop is an xps m1530.
can anyone help me on this problem?

I’d lay a safe bet because you changed the operating system! XP was not designed to run the set up for Vista!
