How do I connect my pc to my xbox using windows media center?
I have a modem. An ethernet cord and a usb cord. My usb cord is connected from my modem to my laptop. My ethernet cord is connected from my modem to my xbox350. The internet on my laptop works. However no matter what I try I cannot get my xbox 360 to pass a connection test. I have turned off the modem for 10sec, for 30 sec and I have tried turning it off fo 5 min at a time. It says my modem is not assigning it an IP. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I dont know what I am doing wrong. I just want to get connect my pc to my xbox and be able to get netflix and play on xbox live
You cannot use both the usb port and ethernet ports on the modem at the same time on most modems, and your ISP is only giving you 1 IP address. You need a router to share one internet account with multiple users.
