Dubai free Zones: Making business sense
A trader’s city from the get-go, Dubai has been a trading center from the days of pearl trade across neighboring countries. From being a trade stopover, Dubai evolved in to a trade capital hub with the discovery of oil, the black gold that shot UAE on to the world radar. Traders and business gushed forth to meet the explosion in demand for infrastructure required in the seven Emirates united under the Arab rule.
Dubai has benefited from the oil industry and also attracted the most business due to strong measures by the Government on various fronts. It is the most significant in terms of business though it is the second largest of the states in terms of geography and population because of these initiatives. One such development to appeal to the trading community is the free zone increasing the attraction of doing business in Dubai.
Free zones are sections of the city equipped with industrial and commercial advantages to carry out all kinds of business operations. The underlying strength of this proposition is the freedom from personal or corporate taxes, making it the most profitable place to do business. This tax free business model is further aided by the waiver of import or export duties making it an ideal option for regional manufacturing or distribution bases through Dubai routing earnings outside the UAE.
The Jebel Ali free zone was the first and the largest free zone, acting as the corporate address for more than 2000 offices for global concerns. This idea has been taken forward to developing areas specific to industries like Dubai Internet city, Dubai Media city and Dubai Financial Center with the sole purpose of giving businesses the power to cut down operational expenses. These zones exist with the sole purpose of making it easier for foreign investors to kick start or grow their businesses in a highly favorable environment. The latest free zone is the Dubai Maritime city to develop the maritime industry and related trades much like the original fishing population of Dubai.
All these trade advantages have made Dubai a favorite destination to conduct business with international businessmen requiring a place to stay when in Dubai. To meet this demand, hotels have sprung up around these trade centers for the international globe trotter who has just so much time for leisure between meetings. Given limited locations and the vastness of Dubai as a city, hotels that are conveniently placed, comfortably equipped and affordably priced are few in number. we don’t have luxurious expectations, just need to stay in a 2/3* hotel , rent a car, visit main attractions and do some desired shopping
I’ve visited Morocco and its very interesting place with huge variety to offer. For instance if you get the chance visit the bazaar in Marrakesh. Dubai by contrast is really totally artificial and is simply about relieving as mush cash as it can from your pocket as quickly as it can. Don’t expect to find 2/3 * hotels anywhere in Dubai and there’s no point in renting a car as there is nowhere worth driving to.
Seriously, I know this sounds harsh but unless you have time and money to burn avoid Dubai. It’s nothing more than a transit hub on the way to the far east whatever they say in the adverts.
Hopefully some muslin women with personal experience will also respond here to your question regarding appropriate beaches in these countries for you.
