Social Media Strategies this question

Rules of engagement – social media strategies that question

Retail Message was for me something other than online retail. Frankly, I had a ball meeting with retailers around the world at large, developing alternative strategies allow us to survive, while more and more important within our communities.

In this, I was fortunate to have time to dive into the world of media of social communication and community involvement.

When these two worlds meet … action takes place.

Last December, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. John Sowers and Donald Miller to help them get their food from Twitter for the project Mentoring on the map. They led a campaign to raise both awareness and funds for this incredible organization that focuses on the need supervision of children.

The result is surprising.

We took a tweet and linked to your website. We asked some influential people to return to this tweet to your Twitter followers. Al final, less than 12 hours later, the tweet was sent to 18 times, which resulted the potential of more than 30,000 views twitter. It also led to more than 1,000 visits to your site in this period.

Even for a novice, the numbers say volumes about the potential of this new media tool.

I recently had the opportunity to work with people from above by its heat Publishers Bible Hendrickson. In this I raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to attend the Conference 21 powered past spring. He had worked Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for the Bible, but it was an opportunity to really test the power of popular viral campaign.

Again, the results been amazing.

The conference lasted 2 1 / 2 days and attracted 10,000 participants in various workshops, as well as morning and afternoon in general, which includes the excellent live music and powerful voice messages.

Our strategy was simply to involve the community.

In this, after 2 1 / 2 days of every commitment of Twitter with other participants using Twitter during the event on the event, we were blown away that we found.

During this period, which sent 140 messages on Twitter. Messages, only 7% them were with us, or come visit our booth. The rest has been focusing on the participation of the community of users at a time and event.

At one point, a tweet by the promoters of the event informs the user of Twitter in attendance if they wanted to know what was happening at the conference, followed by the Fire Bible in Twitter.

Some of our other Twitter tweets were simply re-tweets and a workshop or a quote from the general session. Other tweets were simply images that have been holding the event, in action. And yet, simple tweets other comments on our experience at the event.

Ultimately, the 140 tweets reached 9,600 people with the potential viewer impressions of more than 20,000 people.

Again, not too bad for this new medium.

Ironically, we saw another group in the same conference participating in a tweet strategy that, unfortunately, seems flawed from the start. What is your strategy reflects a "strategy ME" that individual public tweets sent to all users of Twitter to mention attending the conference. The result was a line of tweets from the diet that was simply cut and paste the same message to "come see us on our stand" many and again to different people.

So impersonal.

Interestingly, after that first night, never saw another tweet from them again throughout the conference.

With all that said, I was fortunate to come across several lessons using these new tools. For me it is so ingrained in the use of traditional media to reach my audience, I find that to truly embrace and use these new tools, my way of thinking need to be adjusted.

I need to include the fact that the simple difference between this new media and media traditional is that this new media is a dialogue not a monologue.

To understand this, one must adjust their mentality going into this game

I'll share with you are simple instructions, I found that if applied with patience, verily, without reservation, there is a whole new world standing in front of them, waiting to be discovered.

5:01 Strategy

5:01 The strategy is sort of a plan was developed and put into action that has to build a lasting relationship with clients between visits to the store.

If the customer makes a purchase from Joe a book for parents in their stores and left the store at 5:00, what happens with the client Joe at 5:01?

In this sense, how can we use media greater social participation in terms of Joe enhance your experience with us at both the retailer and the subject of this book you bought?

In developing this strategy is not only on experience in the store, but the customer experience is your brand, after leaving the store.

This is an area I like to see the events turn more hug. It's hard enough to enter in the city and put on a show, but it is what is sustainable on the show that really makes the show a positive impact in the lives of all participants.

How can you use social media to reach your customers at 5:01?

Be balanced – 80/20 messaging

The New Oxford English Dictionary word the year 2009 was Unfriend. And if there are new sites like Facebook, you'll know exactly what that means.

With e-mail, statistics Recent studies have shown that 90% of all email is now spam. A glance at my mailbox is expected to do all the research that they need to validate this statistic.

With social media, spam has not disappeared. Precisely what called in the old world. Now it's just a different costume.

What I found is the use of social media, we must understand that Social Media is a community, not a billboard. In this, I think it is absolutely essential that we respect the 80/20 guideline.

What is the 80/20 guideline?

When you send a tweet or post a comment on your Facebook wall, 80% of messages must be relational. The other 20% should be informative.

It is my opinion that many organizations out there have it reversed. When 8 out of 10 messages you send are informative, more than likely lead a drive by part of that statistic Unfriend the word of the year.

Frankly, it how you use that 80% of messages to be or not to buy the social capital to effectively implement the 20% of its messages. Otherwise, noise has become a community and this community, noise = Constant as a billboard. In the ancient world, it was spam, now is the same thing, just a different look.

Be relevant

I will not go into much depth here, but to say how important it is to be relevant within your target community. When I say in question, I'm not saying that in the context of how some of us are trying very hard to see and discuss relevant when it is clear that not even the slightest idea.

It is a lesson that I'm strong to hug my daughter now in high school. Sometimes I try too hard to be of interest for her and her friends to end up look like a complete idiot.

No. But in this case, when I talk about being relevant, I want to be in harmony with the conversation that is taking the community and to participate accordingly.

Recently, I was working on a Facebook page, I am managing an organization that aims to educate people in heritage of our nation pious. I was super happy just published an interview with a sitting Senator Skype answering a question from our fans Facebook asked.

As soon as I did after this interview, post a comment someone was not a comment, but a sign their weight loss program.

Being an administrator for the site, I was able to delete this comment simply because it was not entirely relevant to the discussion and frankly burnt all the capital was there for that person to sell their products.

In short, it was in the wrong place, wrong time, wrong strategy, and unfortunately, if you continue this, it will cost you dearly in this new world.

Fortunately, these types of positions and still occur among the few. Therefore, it is not necessary to develop a joint workshop / seminar to discuss best practices on how to treat this type of behavior. (Tongue in cheek warning.)

The less said about you, you will become more

Like this idea. However, because we live in a culture of me, it is so difficult to execute effectively and consistently.

I mentioned earlier Fire Bible experience I had in Tulsa. Frankly, this experience was born the concept of less is you, the more it becomes you.

I hope Now that you understand the importance of the above. But again, too easily hooked to not understand the part that says that social media is community and the media … is a dialogue not a monologue.

I got a "shout" someone recently asked on Twitter to all the fans who follow me for one simple reason …

I compromise with them. I responded to your tweets when it is not intended only for me. This means actually read their tweets or their Facebook updates.

T how to use social media as a dialogue with a community or just seems an argument with yourself?

If this sounds like an argument with you, you're completely missing the point of this new medium.

Imagine if a brand, company, or who have read the messages of his followers were running. Now imagine what it would feel if you were a disciple of the publication of a message and received a comment from this brand, company or cause related to your message?

You kidding? It would be great and I promise you … I would tell everyone I know.

Now, this does not mean you have to sit at your computer 24 / 7 and post comments on each others posts something new time is displayed. But a little of this and a little that can go a long way to send a message its supporters, as well … value them and their lives.

2.0 Being relevant: Just because you're on Facebook and Twitter does not mean they are relevant. This is how you will use relevant within their community.

I love this part of the dialogue because it has the potential to blow open your current platform and reach a much broader influence within their community.

What I mean is we all have a brand or product to sell, but what if what they offered was well beyond that mark?

In my recent workshop on spirit of social media library, I walked through many of these points. I also talked about some of the main summary platforms for social networks.

And that's where I threw the curveball.

I started in the statistics touched on an epidemic in communities Our nation is facing. The issue was the absence of the father.

What if we use our platform to address this issue?

So I went to the next slide in the presentation showed a new book entitled Critical Generation without parents by Dr. John Sowers. (Zondervan)

That if we do not just sell this book, but used social media tools for impact at local level, the issue raised in the book?

Can you imagine the new friends are made within our community by simply using our social media feeds also involve local leaders, while educating the public about this epidemic sad?

Essentially, you made this book to life, from the platform, (if so, whether the platform is likely to be the spine) and maybe just maybe … be not only a sale but a movement.

Probably the best compliment I got from this workshop was that I fell on someone reading an article that was sent me in the shop. In the bottom of the article, a person who participated commented by saying that immediately went and pre-ordered 10 copies of the book to them personally.

In this, I have a good feeling you understand the opportunity before them. Social Media is not just another tool that could be exploited to reposition themselves in a soft market, is also a new tool that can be used to reach and impact of larger.

But to do this, we must understand clearly the rules of engagement. In the past, seems to spend more money (through advertising) in the hunt for new customers, when all the time, we probably could have spent that money on growing our existing customers, leading to reach new customers through word of mouth and customer satisfaction.

Media social, here is our opportunity to grow and if we do well, the power of viral strategies can only lead to a new group customers. And in this, an improvement new perspectives in the future.

How I can play recorded replays, saved games or something like media player?

I have to play many games and recorded so many scenes of FIFA 07, UEFA 08 and PES 08, but I need to find a way to play Windows Media Player, DivX or something else? What software is needed Guidelines iy. I really need to know. Please help

If you have videos taken generally in the installation folder games or documents, then your best bet would be to write "to convert avi xx" in google trying to find a method (xx is the format video used for the original recording, right click on video and select Properties to see). You can find software free to convert, or trial. To see the converted videos to ensure that DivX can do the best quality ("install the divx player" in google) or instead of trying to find a program to convert MPEG or QuickTime into place:)
