It says to connect the psp via usb probably because: the usb isn’t snugly connected to the netbook, the usb isn’t snugly connected to the psp system, or the psp is still on the homescreen and not in usb mode. Make sure to click USB Connection in the Settings and Tools option in the XMB if your computer didn’t automatically detect it and connect.
