Help! I have a Toshiba Tecra 9100, when it boots it gives two errors PXE -E61 media test failure check cable ?
and the other one PXE-M01 then it goesn on to the windows XP logo and the windows run. I cant go to the BIOS coz everytime i try it doesnt not go the BIOS instead it goes to the Windows. Please help me resolve this problem as my laptop has stopped playin sounds.
Try hitting the esc button then pressing F1 right after pressing the power button. The function key doesn’t seem to register while the toshiba boot logo is displayed.
About the errors you get, when you get into the bios, check the boot order, it sounds like booting from a network option has been put before floppy, CD, and harddrive.
Your sound problem could be several things. It could be disabled in the bios, muted somewhere in windows, or maybe the sound driver needs to be reinstalled.
