The Art in Haitian Music

Because each art discipline appeals to different senses and expresses itself through different media, each adds a special richness to the learning environment. If Muziklakay.com was not present in our life, I know that I would be missing so much. I would not be able to do the things that I love to do each day. What is Op-Art(this last bit is just to make my question long enough to post)?
I am currently in the middle of a project based around the 1960s. We are studying about Bridget Riley, the famous op artist. I completely understand what op art is, however the definitions that i find are complex, whereas my overview of op art and how Bridget Riley uses op art needs to be no more than a short, bordering on medium length paragraph. I have tried to turn all the huge words into something easier to believe it came from a 14 year old’s mind, but to no avail. Please help!
Op Art or optical illusion art. First termed in NY, 1963.
Abstracted patterns which stimulate the optical nerve to cause an illusion of movement or to have a dazzling effect, which could almost feel like a vibration, to the eyes.
Op art lends itself to textile designs, easily, along with other decorative art, which went well for the hippies in the 1960′s.
