Will Tv’s Popularity Ever Decline Amongst The Young Generation?
Currently the society is facing upsurge of technology and variety in entertainment. People are finding themselves increasingly addicted to Internet, be it online shopping, online gaming or social networking.
Studies have been undertaken to ascertain how the young generation prefers to unwind in context to television. Generally, we notice young people preferring everything latest in clothes, appearance, music, gizmos and gadgets and lots more. Do they really watch TV when they have the Internet and mobile phones thru which they keep in touch with the latest news and information?
Yes, they do watch television, even if lightly. Despite being light watchers of TV, they do get affected by what they hear and see on Television. This stems from the fact, their discussions amongst friends and family do revolve around what they have seen or heard on television be it a political or social event, a programme, a sports event or even an advertisement. In fact, it is through TV that they could first hearing about an interesting thing, product or event which makes them research on it much more by logging on to the Internet.
These very studies also reveal that the young generation watch TV as their second most preferred activity after listening to music which gets the first preference. Yes, for them friends are important as well conducting discussions, interactions and simply just hanging out with each other, but they still prefer to get inspired and motivated by watching TV.
Watching TV could be a light or a side activity for them in the sense, the TV would be on while they are on the phone or having dinner or even reading a newspaper but the topics are derived from Television.
The relatively new trends of social networking, texting through mobiles phones, long chats over telephones and hanging out with friends do satisfy them the most. But as an outlet or even as an inlet, TV gives shapes to dreams and inner fantasies. So impressive and inspiring is the television media and its impact that not only dreams take off from there but also get fulfilled through the TV as well.
This trend can be very well grasped through the increasing number of reality shows which involve talent and celebrities alike. Increasing participation of nobodies in dream of becoming somebody and to earn fame as well as fortune is what is making more and more young people turn their heads towards television. They watch, dream and inspire to do something for themselves of for a cause.
Furthering the inspirational and motivational aspect of Television, is the onset of digital TV and the use of set top boxes. Offering you the widest possible range of TV programmes in almost every genre with the convenience of pause, rewind and record Live TV, programmes and series, the young generation can take the best advantage of the same. Also with the availability of large sized TVs, flat screen TVs, HD ready TVs and soon to be launched 3D TVs, TV popularity is going to remain or extend further but not certainly diminish.
Television is still remains and will remain as the most most influential media format for the not only the younger generation but also with the society in general.

I have done my own research aside from the media. I also use my own common sense. Many here are instigating gossip and untrue statements to just clear their throat. There is no reason to bash an old man that has given his life for his country and will not quit till God takes him. There is also no reason to bash a young man for his ambitions and willingness to make a difference for his country. My only concerned is this entire cheep Q&A about the candidates will do them more harm than good. So it can really back fire. Please be careful and handle them with the best respect that you would like people to have for you.. From the line of questioning it is obvious not only we can not unite as Americans, we are also interfering with the willingness of those people that are truly trying. I finally came to this conclusion in order to have peace.
God has already assigned the leaders of the countries according to the bible.
