How to Delete locked Tmp#.tmp file?
I am using Avira Anti virus Personal free edition. Every time on startup, a pop-up window displays “A virus or unwanted program was found!” message. On the C:Windowstemptmp16.tmp contains code of the W32/Sality.Y Windows virus. Even if I opt for Repair or Delete option, the pop-up displays again with tmp17.tmp and so on. The tmp#.tmp file is locked in windowstemp directory, which is not deletable from command prompt. I have also installed rmsality remover, but no use. How do I get rid of this problem? My OS WindowsXP Media Center Edition ver 2002 with Service Pack 3 on HP Pavillion dv9000.
